Darren Briggs
Darren Briggs, Vice President & Chief Technology Officer, is Landmark’s first employee and leads the company’s Development, Infrastructure, Data Services and Operations departments. He is responsible for defining the R&D initiatives, patents, systems, operational processes and business processes that support Landmark’s audio recognition technologies. He also directs the deployment and implementation of the company’s technologies around the world including Landmark’s US national music monitoring network, a cornerstone for many of Landmark’s initiatives. Darren was instrumental in Landmark’s acquisition of the BlueArrow recognition technology.
Darren was formerly the Senior Director of BMI’s Department of Strategic Development, where he was responsible for investigating and projecting new technology trends in the music industry. He previously worked for 12 years at blue-chip music publishers Tree Publishing and Sony Music Publishing in Nashville and Sony/ATV International in London as Director of Global Systems Development. In 2000 Darrren co-founded Fatbubble, Inc., a San Francisco-based social network technology company.
Nancy Merrill
Nancy Merrill, Assistant Vice President, Product Development, is responsible for leading and executing the company’s product development initiatives as well as the planning and execution of Landmark’s major strategic initiatives. She oversees the Product Management Group which encompasses the Product Management, Project Management and Market Analysis functions within the organization.
Nancy is an 18-year veteran of the music industry, having worked for PolyGram Records before coming to BMI in 1999. She has an extensive background in Project Management and the delivery of both operational and strategic initiatives. Nancy was the Project Manager for the BMI mandate to identify and acquire an audio recognition technology for the company. This project led to BMI’s acquisition of the BlueArrow technology and subsequent creation of Landmark Digital Services. Nancy’s role within Landmark allows her to utilize her experience, leadership and strengths to define exceptional products, deliver timely projects and execute company strategy.
Dorian Yoanidis
Dorian Yoanidis, Vice President & Controller, manages Landmark’s accounting, business strategy and finance functions. His duties include financial reporting and analysis, modeling and the development of pricing strategies.
Dorian is a CPA with more than 15 years’ finance and accounting experience at American Express and the May Company. As Senior Director of Financial Planning & Business Control Solutions at BMI, he oversaw financial planning, budgets and internal and external audits, all while playing a key role in BMI’s due diligence and negotiation initiatives. Dorian now also serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee for FastTrack, the international technical alliance of performing rights organizations.
